INSANE! Woman Says Strip Search After DUI Arrest Went Too Far

what is strip search?

Recently we keep hearing a lot about this subject ..what is it?
A strip search is a practice of searching a person for weapons or other contraband suspected of being hidden on their body or inside their clothing, and not found by performing a frisk search, by requiring the person to remove some or all of his or her clothing. The search may involve an official performing an Intimate Person Search and inspecting their personal effects. A strip search is more intrusive than a frisk and requires legal authority. Regulations covering strip searches vary considerably, and may be mandatory in some situations or discretionary in others..more at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strip_search

Experts discover whether it's better to be right or be happy

Experts discover whether it's better to be right or be happy
Depends whether you are a woman or man?
we need to handle the nagging question that immediately comes up when working with issues of being right. Namely, how do you handle the feeling that you’re giving up something by letting the other person win or have their own way. As the Relationship Specialists, we support putting the relationship first. What this means is that when differences arise remember, you are in a relationship. You are no longer an individual living alone in your separate living space. You are sharing a life with another individual, someone who is very important to you. Therefore, put your focus where it belongs, on the problem, not your partner. Judith Wallerstein, in her new book: The Good Marriage: How And Why Love Lasts, talks about the importance of couples building togetherness while creating autonomy. She asks couples to keep in mind the question: “Is this good for the marriage?” In order to make the relationship work, you must choose to become a couple instead of merely two individuals living side by side. It is at this time that the decision can be made to put the relationship first...more here

It's not really about Modi and Rahul | Business Standard

Rahul vs Modi: Who will win ?

India, it apears want fesh faces of Leadership..

While Modi, 62, has an advantage of winning three assembly polls and administrative experience since 2001, Gandhi, 42, has not held any position in the government since entering the Lok Sabha in 2004.

Does India have the money to repay its debt?

Spending more than earning is not only bad for Individuals but also for countries?..
Recent estimates have pegged the Indian GDP at Rs 90 lakh crore (approximately $2 trillion).
Current Indian debt is around Rs 40 lakh crore (about $0.9 trillion).
The current budget has estimated an income of Rs 10.5 lakh crore (Rs 10.5 trillion) and expenditure of 12.57 lakh crore (Rs 12.57 trillion). A deficit of around Rs 2.07 lakh crore ($0.05 trillion).
The above numbers mean that India has borrowed an amount equivalent to close to 45 per cent of its GDP. Or, to put it in other terms, the Government of India has borrowed four times its annual income.

Special Report: Onion Price, peeling away the layers of poket

Big Story - Onion Price Surge: The Real Story

Onion - Joke on the Government of India

Here is an example of poor Governance..
India is struggling with a plunging currency, decrepit infrastructure and government corruption. But at the top of the pre-election agenda now: the price of onions and wheat.
Forty-five percent of the onion produce in India comes from the states of Maharashtra and Karnataka
Along with errant rainfall, hoarding, official incompetence and price-ramping by traders have also been blamed for the crisis
Onion prices across India move in tandem with prices in Nashik’s Lasalgaon mandi, Asia’s biggest onion market.Lasalgoan is in many ways a case study of dysfunctional agricultural markets in India, dominated by trader cartels under political patronage.
The entire range of intermediaries comprising the commission agent, wholesaler, transporter, storage chain owner, and even the railway agent, usually belong to the same family
Across major onion markets in India, a network of a few families controls the supply chain, and effectively blocks new entrants
The absence of genuine competition at the mandi and numerous transaction charges distort prices, and the lack of viable alternatives to the mandi limits investments in better infrastructure, leading to high wastage across the supply chain. These factors have played a crucial role in pushing up onion prices rapidly over the past decade despite a threefold increase in production.

Mafia’s role in sand mining in UP - The Hindu

It is the same everywhere in India, UP is no exception
What was the national green Tribunal of India doing all these days?
Unbridled urbanization fuelling the growth of construction industry had resulted in excessive mining of sand and this was likely to increase in the years ahead, and sand as a freely available natural resource, may become totally depleted by 2050

No sand mining without Ministry’s approval, rules Green Tribunal - The Hindu

Manufactured Sand
  • Natural sand is a product of many thousands of years of erosion
  • Experiencing a global shortage of natural sand, and environmental pressures, costs and a shortage has necessitated the manufacture of sand from quarried material
  • Manufactured sand, also called artificial sand, is being successfully used in the production of high quality concrete and asphalt around the world. Its superior shape puts it well within specifications imposed on sand for use in concrete production

“Building with Grandson” from Doug Williams,

An engineer talks about ...“What came to mind when answering the question, What inspires you to achieve awesomeness in engineering, was my grandson. In this picture, he asked me to help him build a model of the Tower Bridge for his 4th grade EDGE Program (a class for gifted students).  And thanks to grandma, I happened to have a picture of the build!”
