The BJP’s L K Advani appears to have given up on forming the next government: one, the third-front-like squabbles among his closest advisors indicate his 81-year-old grip is slipping; and two, Varun Gandhi’s polarising remarks are evidence that the RSS has seized control of the campaign in the Hindi heartland from Advani."
